Privacy Policy
Cali X Desk and CaliX.Build · Last updated August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CaliX.Build (“Cali X,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit calixbuild.com, calixbuild.grok.me, or any related Cali X Desk, Shopfront, Custom, Automation, or Prompt Packs pages, widgets, and checkout forms.
This notice is for a small California business. It is written to meet California’s Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and to honor California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA-style requests even if we do not currently meet the size thresholds that make those laws apply. It is not legal advice.

Please put “Privacy request” in the subject line.
2. Notice at collection (what we collect and why)
We collect the following categories of personal information from you or your device. We use each category only for the purposes listed here, to run and secure the product, to fulfill an order, and to follow the law.
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, company name, phone (if you give it) | Fulfill orders, send pay links, support, account setup |

| Communications | Messages, intake notes, widget submissions | Provide the service you asked for |
| Internet / device | IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, error logs | Security, reliability, debugging |
| Inferences | None we create for advertising | We do not profile you for ads |
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers on this site, precise geolocation, biometric data, or government IDs. Payment, when it happens, is through a pay link we send you (card or bank). We do not take card numbers on calixbuild.com.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Sources
- You, when you fill out checkout, contact, or a widget
- Your browser and our host’s server logs
- Processors we use to run the site (see Sharing)
- Tools you connect, such as Jobber, if you connect them
4. How we use information
- Provide Cali X Desk, widgets, Estimated Costs, messaging, Shopfront/Custom sites, Automation, and Prompt Packs
- Fulfill checkout orders, send pay links, and deliver digital packs
- Support, billing follow-up, and account setup
- Security, abuse prevention, and quality
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
We do not use your information to train public AI models. Automated replies in Cali X Desk can be incomplete or incorrect; see the Terms.
5. Sharing (service providers only)
We share personal information only with processors that need it to run the product:
- Hosting and site delivery (currently xAI / Grok hosting for this site)
- Fonts and similar technical assets (currently Google Fonts)
- Email delivery for quotes, reviews, and order follow-up
- SMS or voice carriers, if you use those channels and have consent
- CRM tools you connect, such as Jobber
- Payment processors, when we send you a pay link
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent lists. We do not share for third-party advertising. We do not share personal information for those companies’ own marketing (California “Shine the Light,” Civil Code 1798.83).
Jobber, Google, and Angi are trademarks of their owners. Cali X Desk is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of those companies. Cali X is not a licensed tree contractor; the client company holds its own licenses and insurance.
6. Cookies, local storage, and tracking
This site uses first-party storage needed to run the product (for example a local preference key such as cali-x-v9). We do not run advertising pixels, Google Analytics, or social tracking pixels on these pages as of the date above.
Third-party technical loads may include Google Fonts. Our host may set cookies needed to deliver the site.
We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out of sale/share. Because we do not sell or share for advertising, those signals do not change a sale we never make. We still treat them as a request not to sell or share.
We do not show a cookie wall. If we add advertising or analytics cookies later, we will update this policy first.
7. Retention
We keep order and account information for as long as we need it to provide the service, collect amounts owed, and meet tax or legal duties, then we delete or de-identify it. Support emails and widget submissions are kept for the same reasons. You can ask us to delete data we are not required to keep (see California rights).
8. Security
We use HTTPS and our host’s standard access controls. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Do not send passwords or card numbers to [email protected].
9. Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. California privacy rights
California residents may request, free of charge, up to twice in a 12-month period:
- Know / access. Categories and specific pieces of personal information we have about you, sources, purposes, and categories of recipients.
- Delete. Deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example completing a transaction, security, or legal hold).
- Correct. Correction of inaccurate personal information we hold.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California law. You may still send this request; we will confirm.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics.
- Non-discrimination. We will not deny goods or services, charge a different price, or provide a different quality because you exercised a privacy right.
How to submit. Email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject. Tell us which right you want to use and enough detail to find you (usually the email you used on the site). We will verify using that email or a follow-up question. You may use an authorized agent; we will need proof of authorization and may still verify you directly.
We aim to respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time (up to 90 days total).
Do Not Sell or Share: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date at the top and post the new policy on this page. For significant changes to how we use personal information, we will also note it on the site or email the address we have for you when we can.
